MAS-PACE Chicago joins United Power for Action and Justice leaders and communities on Sunday January 19th, 2014 to address supportive and affordable housing, foreclosure prevention, and gun violence in the greater Chicagoland with Governor Guinn of Illinois. The turnout was successful with nearly 1,000 in attendance of all different backgrounds representing a variety of organizations. At the end of the meeting, Governor Quinn finally committed 4 million dollars to reclaim severely affected areas of foreclosure. The Governor will also work with the group to support building accessible and affordable housing for people with disabilities. Sr. Karen Danielson, MAS-PACE Chicago director co-chaired the event.
